Well there is a little truth in it as coffee really can make sort of addicted. If I drink 1-3 cups of coffee a day for a long time and then just start a day without coffee, I feel very tired and can't concentrate. And if I have to read some very dry and monotonous book chapters for my studies, I do really need a coffee... Otherwise I almost fall asleep.

However, I've managed to get off coffee in recent time, especially because it seems to fuel my anxiety. It isn't that hard... first, I reduced my coffee from 2-3 cups a day to one cup, then I reduced it to 2-3 cups a week. I guess I'll try decaffeinated coffee - I'm really curious how it tastes like. It could give me the satisfaction of having drunk a coffee, but shouldn't irritate my nerves.

Coffee really does do bad bad things to your body...if you dont drink it in moderation. So does everything else though...moderation is the key. 8)

I fully agree on that. Two or three cups per day are okay, especially if the coffee isn't too strong. Really, better three cups of mild coffee than one strong one. As long as I keep it that way I don't get too shaky or nervous.
