What are the chances

Postby KERRI on July 24th, 2003, 6:16 am

Hi,
In know you guys are sick of my crap but, what are the chances that after a year and now 7 emgs in five sessions, I just got one of the mandible or mastoid area, and chin, and it was normal. What are the chances that I have MND. I feel like I cannot speak, and that I drool when I try to eat. I feel strange.

Has anyone had these type of bulbar symptoms before, should I consider myself okay if the emg was negative.

 I'm sorry if I am being a jerk again, but I want to start having children and I cannot get this stuff out of my head.

Kerri

P.S. I twitched once yesterday and the day before, and have not had one yet this morning.

Kerri, your chances for having MND are ZERO. You are propably the best examined person in the world so your chances are even smaller than in general population.

I am sure that you do not have ALS and I am sure that everybody here will tell you the same. More - I think that every neuro in the world would be sure that you do not have MND.

Try to forget!
Have you visited the psychiatrist??????????????

No, I have been doing meditation, my mom is looking into some therapists, but first my doctors and my mother are sending me to a lyme specialist, I have been bitten so many times and many of my neighbors have it so, before i confess that i need psychological help I am going to pursue lyme.

Kerri, earlier you posted this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was reading the posts on brain talk and grateful has lyme disease. I was wondering if anyone here has tested for lyme, I was bitten on three occasions but my lyme is always negative, so i just assumed that I cannot have lyme, I have pins and needles, buzzing sensation and twitches. I was wondering especially if you Jenn have these symptoms with bfs.

Kerri

Now you are saying that you are trying to see a lyme specialist?? It seems that you are off the ALS kick now & have found a new problem to worry about. If, as you say, your lyme is always negative, forget about it! I think it's great that you are trying meditation, but I agree with the above posts, you really should see a therapist.

I hope you are able to get back on track & get on with living before you start a family.

Sincerely,

Dale

Lyme is treatable so it is not a worry for me, I much rather have lyme than some of the other possibilities.

You can test negative on the standard lyme test and still have lyme.

A friend of my mothers and myself has had lyme for about 10 years they figure, she always tested negative until a spinal tap detected it.

She had twitching, buzzing, numbness and a whole load of other problems. They did not detect the lyme until several years into the disease, so she has some lasting nerve damage.

I am going to her doctor, and hopefully I will get some answers about all of this.

Kerri,

OK, visit a Lymy specialist, but try to make an appointment with psychiatrist. Soon may be too late (if it isnt now).

Believe me. I am also under psychiatrist control (and use special drugs) and now i know that without it I would have real problems (I still have them but they are easier to fight with).

regards
