Thank you, Arron

Thank you, Arron, for letting this board be conducive to discussion, and not simply a message board. Thank you for not over-policing the threads and for letting this board have life.

I have recently posted a few times on the anxiety forum at healthboards.com. Holy crap, but ms mod, the moderator of the board runs that thing like the warden of a gulag. Every page begins with his/her 9 stickies. I believe that his/her life revolves around removing, deleting, and editing messages that don't follow his/her stickies to a "T".

I am thankful that people can come to this board looking for and/or offering support, answers, ... without having to worry about if their question or comment follows the one approved format.

D75 I believe it is a diet drug. Half of a famous diet pill duo that spawned many a lawsuit. I can only imagine it would put your twitching in overdrive.

I'm assuming that Xanax is pronounced Zanax. I think it should be written that same way too, or otherwise it should be pronounced Zanaz and written that way, or written Xanax. My personal vote would be for Zanaz. The Zeds/Zee's (for my American friends) connote sleeping, except in my household where you would need a new consonant. That being a intoned sound reminiscent of an express train...oh, it isn't me, I sleep quite soundlessly. My wife is the big snorer in the family, although she denies her nocturnal blasts. One night her snoring was so loud that even the nymphomaniacs across the street had their screams drowned out. Yeah, it's a pretty wack neighbourhood. Anyway, from Xanax to Snore-xxx, who would have seen such compelling connection.

But where do we draw the line... zenophobia? Zylophone? Zanadu? :D

Yes, I see your point Mork, and not just the one on that rather handsome pick axe that you are holding.

Here is my thinking. I think "X" needs to reclaim the sound of itself at the beginning of words. So, we needn't change the spelling, but rather just the sound. This would mean that Xenophobia would be pronounced "exnophobia," and so on. Anyway Zen-ophobia, sounds like someone who is afraid of Zen, and how can that be? Exno, sounds more fearful, sort of onomatopoeia-ish.

Mork, I really think that you and schuey should get together and host a bfs "get together" in Jolly Ol'. Your beer is miles better, as is the chocolate.

We could all sail from Boston on a Xebec, enjoy your xenial relations, indulge in some xenogamy, receive xylographs as parting gifts, and then listen to hours of Xylophone music on our X-pods on the way back across the pond.

Basso xxxx (please note: these x's denote cordial (not the lime variety), generic kisses in general are not intended as me wanting to kiss Mork...even though he is undoubtedly handsome)

I smuggle chocolate into Canada for my discerning (ex pat) friends :) although some things like Bounty bars are imported. Basso I know you're a Guiness freak but I've told you before, they do sell it near you in any Irish bar! ;)
