depends on what is the reason of aching. For lactate hot baths help as they increase blood circulation. But if your pains are caused by vein valves disfunction, I'm afraid hot baths are not beneficial - again as they increase blood intake and may increase edema and pressure.
If your leg pain is caused by nerve compression in the back, you may need loclal procedures at the level of damage (their nature is also to be discussed with doctor - from hot applications to injection blockade).
Slight massage generally would not be harmful I think...

our fellow raindog has quite strong pain due to PNH and he reports medical marijuana at the bedtime helps him alot.

I was just wondering if any OTC pain meds would help or specific vitamins. I really don't know yet for sure what the cause is. And medical marihuana isn't legal where I live

Generally OTC pain reliefers could do the job but! they are really dangerous for long term intake. My mom-in-law got stomach bleeding and fainted unconsious few weeks ago just becasue he was taking prescribed ibuprophene or 3 months only due to artirits :((( so you may try but please remember they are very bad for stomach (which is already kicked a lot by our stress reactions and acidic gasrtitis or GERD is quite common for us).

As for vitamnies, you may try magnesium B6 high dosage (about 600 mg Mg and 10 mg B6 per pill, 4-6 pill per day - as stated on the leaflet) for 3-4 weeks. This usually is not harmful anyway. If your pain is caused by neuritis, this may help.

The vitamin shop had nothing for me. Totally not helpful. I wasn't sure if the PT was making it worse because I missed one session and yesterday I actually felt better. I decided to skip this week of PT but now my legs ache again.
