My Story from Hungary

Postby Inimma on November 3rd, 2014, 10:06 am

Hi!

Sorry for my english!!!

My name is Attila, i am 30 years old now, and this is my stroy. My horror movie starts 19th of August 2013. I felt a chest puncture what is freak me out. The first thought was breast cancer. In Hungary 20th of August is a national day, we celebrate the foundation/establishment of our State. For that reason i can't reach my GP for 3 days. It was the worst 3 days of my life. ( I thought It was.) And the fourth morning i went to my GP, and that was the moment when my mobile starting to ringing and my father tell me my uncle is diagnosed with breast cancer... Everything exploded and fell to pieces. In quick succession the following simptoms occured: chest puncture, mild dizziness, extreme anxiety, slight weakness of the left hand, back pain, twiching in over the whole body (neck, back, arm, leg, hand, bottom, eyelids, nose, lips, in my skull (crown), pins and needles sensation in different part of the body, auto moving fingers, auto neck sprain, ringing in the ears, tremor which occurs when slowly stretch out my hand (left hand is stronger) and an intresting sensation: "as if I were not there where I am". etc. And i starting my journey doctor to doctor (includeing Dr. Google wich is the worst!) Medical examinations: lung screening (twice), urologists (the first wan diagnose testicular cancer, the second one wich makes a thorough investigation tell me everything OK no cancer), orthopaedist, rheumatologist, ear nose and throat specialist, and a neuro. The first neuro sent me to a neck and brain MRI which diagnose adenoids in my nose, some disc problems, intervertebral disc problems in my spine, Supratentorialisan subcorticalisan T2 sing 2mm difference in my brain, wich is nothing (she said). The neuro said: nothing serious quite normal, just my neck is like a 45 years old people..she said :go to physiotherapy. She also looked at my reflex, and make a physical examination. Everyone was good, she tells me it will psychogenic. After i read about ALS i went to a neuromuscular specialist he make an EMG/ENG ( and it was totally clear. (The the examination was short, but he watched the most infected (by twiching) parts of my body. That was in january of 2014 after 5 mounths of twiching. After that whit the ENG/EMG i went to an anouther neuro. He thoroughly examined me, and he said me: it is psychological. After that i calm down for a while. During this half year a lot of bad things happened to me: My uncle died, I lost my job, I went bankrupt (I could not pay the loan), I moved twice. The good thing was: my son was born he arrived as a savior on 24th of December 2013. My symptoms began to disappear slowly: ringing in the ears (reduced), chest puncture (discontinued), pins and needles sensation in different part of the body ( hardly reduced), auto moving fingers (almost completely disappeared), auto neck sprain (disappeared), dizziness (disappeared) also the twiching is reduced especially the usual morning and evening crazy attack.
I'm better now, but my fears returning from time to time. I still feel slight weakness of the left hand The worst thing that has happened so far to carrying something /about8-10 kg/ after shaking the glass in my left hand. Often my left thumb quake when i raise something. The twich continous but perhaps less than it was. The left arm and hand muscles is smaller than my right arm and my hand but If I remember correctly it's always been that way.

Notes: - 2-3x more twich in the left side of the body
- i can swim one mile without broblems (breaststroke)
- after training my hands arms starting to pain but it is pass very quickly
- not noticed anything that i called really athrophy but my thenar eminence in the left hand is smaller then the right hand, but I'm right-handed so..?
- my finally diagnose was: somatization disorder

All opinions and advice will be appreciated! Especially from the veterans! :D

Well you've certainly had enough testing and enough time to know this isn't something dreadful. Sounds like a lot if anxiety and stress. Have you seen anyone for that?

Hi Inimma,

Well i am sorry for your recent difficult times but i hope you will find your peace with the birth of your child.
I really believe that if you read carefully your own post you will realize the obvious. Everything is stress related!
I am not a doctor but you have been to so many
