Hi seanrblock, thanks for sharing your experience, I can't hear these things enough, it is so comforting to know that other people are dealing with the exact same symptoms and are FINE. I think you are right not to let them haunt you for years to come. This thing has really put my life on pause for the past 2 months and has affected my work and my relationship. Can't let that happen again! All the best to you.

I didn't believe it either, but after having my emg today and it showing absolutely ZERO issues. I can safely say that every symptom you have, your mind has decided to play games with your body, just like it did with me. Oh and im still twitching and foot arch cramping and buzzing/vibrating all over the place as well as weak feeling in all my limbs. I would read about a symptom and BAM, minutes to hours later I was having them

Hi jwb33b, I think your post about anxiety is really interesting. Great that an actual ALS specialist has assured you of this. As a pretty rational person I find it so hard to believe that anxiety can cause such a range of severe symptoms. But I think it's actually not a matter of believing in it or not, it's a fact! I had a talk with my Ostheopath about this yesterday and he told me how his hands and feet went completely numb for week in his last job (where he was unhappy) and he freaked out, so many other symptoms appeared... You'd think a medical professional would at least recognise the situation, but he became extremely anxious and only snapped out of it after going through a range of tests. All was fine and then so was he :-))
In fact, when I think about how this whole thing started: I had pains and problems with my shoulder, arm and may hands after a phase of working like crazy (so that made sense to me)... There was only a teenie tiny twitch one day on the arch of my oft foot, so I started googling.... And honestly, that's when things started to explode.. Twitches everywhere, week feelings in legs and arms, feeling like I couldn't breathe properly, cramps in my feet and fingers, shaking and buzzing under my skin... The mind is a funny thing.
