Swallowing and twitches when asleep

Postby guitarguy11 on October 16th, 2014, 7:10 am

In the last few months since all of this started, I have woken up a few times to a twitch either in my chest or my throat that has led me to swallow. It happened again last night and freaked me out a little. I have also felt like some of my leg or arm twitches are happening when I am asleep because they have woken me up before or I have felt one when I am in "twilight" right between awake and asleep - maybe at a close to awake point in my sleep cycle. Anybody else have these? Is this still BFS?

Do you have a clean EMG?

If so - BFS

Try not to overexam yourself.

Once you allow these twitches to happen without stressing out -- you will notice you twitch less.

I only had an EMG done in my left arm and hand almost 3 months ago when my symptoms were only about 6 or 7 weeks old. Nothing else has been tested except a second very thorough clinical exam.
