So who is familiar with the emg?

Postby LKP1231 on October 8th, 2014, 2:49 pm

CTS in right arm (hand) and ulnar neuropathy in left. Understood. But in left thigh and right calf is increased insertional activity and spontaneous activity, along with reduced recruitment (I had heard good recruitment on all the muscles but I guess not). Impression is sub acute left L4 and right S1. The diagnosis is asymmetric lumbar radicular disease to be treated with PT. Anyone know about this stuff? If someone could offer an opinion WITHOUT SCARING ME.

Why are you chasing so hard to be diagnosed with ALS?

Trained medical professionals told you -- it is not ALS --

They gave you the treatment plan - why do you refuse ?

Just body wide twitches from the start for 2 months. In the beginning there was some random cramping and now just muscles that feel sore in legs and arms. The docs say the ncv and emg correspond with the MRI of my back but I feel like I should have these results from an injury. And in both legs? It's just scary.
