My 5 min of Freakout Question of the day :)

Postby RIno468 on September 22nd, 2014, 11:32 am

Hi all

As some of you know, I am currently seeing a therapist for anxiety concerning my health.

My therapist allowed me 5 minutes of the day to freak out and then start working on cognitivae behavior thought changing processes.

Here is my twitch question of the day:

I tried to google it but it was not successful.

Can you cause a twitch by the positioning of your body ?

Example -- if you cross your right leg over your left leg, could that cause your right leg to twitch?

Or in BFS do you just twitch no matter what....

Thanks!

Rino,

Absolutely. First of all, my body is so hypersensitive that I twitch all over regardless. I feel on average about 20 pops and flutters all around my body per minute. BUT, in addition to that if I move limb, like turn over in bed, raise my arms to take my shirt off, or put my arm up over my head while resting on the couch... any of those movements will cause twitching in the limbs that I moved. Like right now for example, I'm typing on my computer. Just resting my arms on the corner of my desk while typing has caused my biceps, forearms and thenar muscles to twitch.

Over 10 billion twitches since May 2011.

Yes, I can. No need to freak out.

I read somewhere a while ago, that the ability to do that is very indicative of benign fasciculations.. Irritated nerves.

if I cross my right leg and pull my foot towards my body it causes a twitch deep in my groin area. Had this on and off for a number of years.

Does the twitching happen while u are moving your limbs?.. or does it happen once u finish moving ur arms and put them back to a resting position?.. what im trying to say is if u only have twitches when ur limbs kr body is at rest.
