Sadface,
I believe I responded to one of your posts sometime ago, but I am not totally certain. Like you, I am eight (almost nine) months into this ordeal. Since then, I have twitched, cramped , and had pain throughout my body. Most of the pain, twitching, and cramping is confined to my right side but I have experienced symptoms everywhere. EMG at five weeks and another at four and one half months came out normal- due for a follow up first of September. Widespread brisk reflexes but no weakness.
My GP had a lot of info. and experience with BFS and put me on Sertraline (Zoloft) back in January. Antidepressants have not helped twitching/ pain/ cramping at all. As a matter of fact, they made me void of any expression and emotion and left me with a myriad of side effects that are less than pleasant.
Of the two neuros. I saw, (same practice- different specialists) my primary said the chances of it being ominous are very, very, low. She made a gesture of zero with her hands as she explained the chances.
I understand your anxiety and what you are going through; you are not alone in your struggle. This truly has been the most difficult and trying time of my entire life and I sure you share the same sentiments. I keep thinking about a quote from Churchill that has really resonated with me during this time: "When you're going through hell, keep going".
Keep going and take care,
Christina
