Pain.

Postby Arkansan on March 22nd, 2014, 3:36 pm

How many of you have pain with BFS? I have all over body pain, it is a deep ache that almost feels as if the bone is hurting or perhaps deep in the muscles. It tends to flare up when I am sick. Anyone else have this? Found any relief for it?

I've had this before. For me it was in my thighs. It first appeared a couple months before my BFS started

Hey Arkansan! I'm sorry to hear you're having so much pain. When did it start?! Do you have it 24/7?
Have you already thought about acupuncture? It might help you with the pain!

Hope you get better soon!

Yes, I do have mild to moderate muscle and joint pain. sometimes it shoots and sometimes its constant. My CPK and aldolase are normal levels. I also have positive (albeit low titer) ANA, indicating possible autoimmune. However all sorts of pain seem to be very common in the BFS community.

I forgot to mention, as for relief it seems that anti-inflammatory OTC like ibuprofen is perfect, although I try to only use it when really necessary since it will tear up your stomach with long term use. I have a prescription for gabapentin for the electrical type pain, which I thankfully havent have to use in a while, and another for plaquenil from my rheumy for the possible autoimmune pain.

I have pain quite a bit in my arms, legs, hands and feet. Just seems like another common symptom. I use ibuprofen, usually when I have to go to work. At home and school I just deal with it.
