how to deal with toe twitches, tingles?

Postby InvisibleTwitches on September 3rd, 2013, 1:55 pm

One would think that after almost 3 years I'd greet each new symptom with a "hey, how are you. Nothing to worry about here." Yet, mouth and extremity issues, when they present, still scare me.

After a pretty good summer, in which I dealt with my BFS and symptoms with a more rational and calm mind, I'm starting to worry more again. My right pinky toe is not only having sensory issues, but fine twitches as well. I'm having trouble dealing with it....

Although, I believe this sensory stuff, continous random twitches over the past years, and now toe issues, is starting to at least point me away from my original fear of *** and perhaps closer to MS or another NMD. From all I've learned, I'm pretty certain that my symptoms act almost opposite of how *** would present. So at least there is that.

Acupuncture helped me with my constant toe twitch, but it took two sessions at $70 each plus a $40 bottle of Chinese herbs. I realized that gluten causes hotspots for me, so I cut it out. I still get random twitches all over but less hotspots. Its all benign, especially if you've had it for that long.

Thank you Emmie S,
Maybe I should give that a try.....couldn't hurt!
I'm just so freaked out by constant sensory issues.......especially to my TOEs, and especially this time because it is just my RIGHT PINKY toe and nothing else. It is tingling, buzzing, zapping, etc. 4 straight days now. Three years of Twitches and the like and I still can't truly convince myself it is simply benign. :(

so maybe it is time to think WHY IT IS SO?

for sure you know you are safe from ALS now as much as any average person. What makes this fear so precious for you?
It is a job for specialist (I have read right now that people from 12 steps program are used to say "consider your brains as bad quater, never go to it alone", and I agree with them), and looks like it is already a time for that job to be done :))))
