Hi Texas Tom,
Good to hear from you. I have long-term care insurance with Met-Life but I got it before being diagnosed officially. It might help if you can get your neurologist to write a letter of explanation regarding BFS, as most people (including insurers) don't have a clue what it is or what the long term prognosis is. If the insurance company can be assured that there is no long term implications to the syndrome they will probably OK it. I did recently change my health insurance and the new carrier did have a phone conversation with my neurologist, and then approved me. Good Luck!
