First foot, new year

Postby Chris swl on December 28th, 2006, 7:18 am

Hi Friends

Just wondered what everyone will be doing on new years eve, and who would be the frist foot on this site for 2007,

Up here in the cold, but beautiful North of England the first one to walk through your door (opening the door first)after midnight on new years eve brings you luck for the year to come. If you have bad luck that year someone else trys it next year and you also have someone to blame for your bad luck!! Bit naff!!

Of cours we are all pritty much tanked up with drink by that time, and can never remember who the first foot was anyway!! No wonder the Romans built that wall, to keep us Notrthern lot out.

How do you guys 'n' girls celebrate the new year and what will be your new years resolution?

happy new year to you all!!

Chris

We all put our wallets and bags outside before midnight to bring prosperity in the New Year- It's a weird tradition and I have no idea when or why we started it.

Quite frankly, my husband might have made it up - he's always doing wacky stuff...

New Years resolution = Quit Smoking and exercise more regularly!

I think this might actually help my BFS, so we'll see.

Shelly...where do you live? I might drive by your house as Christmas bills will be arriving after the first and you will be leaving all that money on the door step?

I hate New Years Eve (I guess that makes me a New Years humbug), I married someone who feels the same way. I guess I hate endings? I like to spend it quietly with a few close friends (or none) and relax. My Dad who was in the entertainment field always worked New Years Eve...he used to call it amatuer night, as so many people make it their reason to really tie one on once a year. I like to avoid those types....I guess. Ho hum, I am so boring......zzzzzzzzz

Happy New Years anyway....and lets hope it is a peaceful one around the world.

Hi,

This new Years Eve I am going to stay with friends who have 40 acres, I have to escape the built up areas because my doberman throws a hissy fit when all the fireworks go off!!, last year he ripped all the insect screens out of the windows!. So I daresay I will be partaking in a few to many drinks!, and regretting it the next day.

Happy New Years to you all, :)

Happy almost New Years to all of you,

We (my family and I) will be enjoying ourselves at a block party at my step-mothers.

I will be having Martini's and being ever so grateful for EVERYTHING this year. I thought I would never see New Years come, let alone be healthy. I am grateful to all of you who have listened and who have genuinely given me your constant support. I will be forever grateful to this place and these people.

My resolution is to ENJOY LIFE and actually LIVE IT. I am also going to try not to be such a worry wart.

Great big Kisses and Hugs to all of you, Carri

Almost Happy New Years to all of you...
We usually spend New Years Eve quietly at home eating wonderful take out from some yummy restaurant, watching our favorite movies , playing games, an trying to stay awake until midnight... Since I am originally from the Boston area I joke about being able to go to bed a 10:00 pm here because it is already midnight back there.. ( I hate staying up late)....

Hey...I expect this board to be full of new posts on Monday from everyone who parties too much tomorrow night and is a twitching cramping mess...I'll be busy having a fondue party...what better way to ring in the new year than by dipping fruit in chocolate (though one of my friends suggested filling the hot tub with chocolate instead for "human fondue dipping").

I told her it was a bit Willy Wonka-ish....like the chocolate river and all. I liked it but when I went to the grocery store there were only 10 bags of chocolate chips. Guess we'll have to do it the old fashioned way...

he used to call it amateur night

Yeah, I here ya. All those crazy people trying to kiss me and grope my crotch. I always say..."professionals only please." I mean I like a little tongue action as much as the next person, but does it have to come tinged with whatever you have been drinking or eating? Sheesh!

Okay, and how about resolutions. I'm stumped this year. Last year I lost a ton of weight and now I look fabulous...thank you, thank you. I also shook hands with a Leprechaun, rode a lion, ate a Komodo dragon's liver (while it was still moving), spoke of love 365 days in a row, and played back-gammon on the Queen of Sweden's buttocks.

dipping fruits in chocolate

That might be fun, but why not include heterosexuals as well Shelley? Just wondering.

happy new year to all... im glad to see more and more info on the net about BFS.. i hope 2007 can bring us a cure...thank you to everyone here that helped me back in 2003.. a BFS get together would be great. i never met a BFSER and everyone else i know doesnt know what BFS is.. lets spread the word!! if they can make a drug that can give you a hard on... im sure they can make a drug to stop PNH. lets take the "BENIGN" out of this illness... because its not benign.. it is a true illness that should be taken more seriously.. benign is getting us the blow off.. any suggestions for a new name?

Floater,

I like your thoughts on that one...Viagra, lol. Just goes to show you that when a bunch of men put their "heads" together they can get things done......

Well whatever y'all are doing this New Years Eve, and New Years Day, I hope that it meets your expectations....and I hope that your expectations are high.

I also wish everyone inexplicable happiness and joy.......just go with it, and don't look to hard.

Love,

Christina

Hi Everyone! :)

Happy new year and hugs and kisses to all (especially Christina  ) from Cairns in Queensland Australia. It's bloody hot and humid here :)

Have had our night out on the town for new years eve, got nicely pi55ed and oggled at all these beautiful women everywhere :) a bit different from the cold wet and windy UK.

Hope you all had a good'un :)
