Great American Smokeout

Postby arrigoar on November 16th, 2006, 10:18 am

For all the smokers on the board...is anyone participating in the Great American Smokeout?

I know I am not. After all of this BFS stress, having a cigarette is such a relief.

Oh do try to quit, you will feel so much better!!

I quit 18 years ago//I only smoked for 5 years or so, and still worry about the damage I did to myself. My husband just quit a year ago...(it will be a year Jan 1)..he is still a pain in the butt...but it is so much sweeter to kiss him now!

Think of all those extra kisses you will get.....

Hey nice to hear from you- I was thinking of you yesterday and was wondering how you were enjoying your new found lease on life!

In fact, yesterday the nurse was looking at the web between my fingers (kind of examining it for a while actually...always seems longer than it is!!) Then she had me put my hands together and she asked me what my dominant hand was (clearly I knew she saw a difference). As I'm left-handed, she said "oh, your left hand is bigger, that's why" And I thought, hmmm...Tony would hate this lengthy examination of hands!!!

So, I must squeeze my massage clients more on the left!

Good luck with making the decision on quitting! Maybe give yourself a few weeks to recover from your stress and then try...

I quit 20 years ago. I smoked for only 3 years. Do I qualify for extra kisses?

My unsolicited advice to anyone ... please stop. You will LOVE yourself for it ... it's worth the niccotene withdrawals, grit your teeth and do it ... pleeeeez ??!!!!

I was a monster when I quit  :)

People always tell me I'm smokin', or is it hot? One of the two.

I smoked quite a bit when I did magic mushrooms once, man that was a blast and a half. Except of course for standing in a cow pie and then touching an electrified fence. Oh well, once the hallucinations kicked in I only had eyes for the sea monster.
