I came across a very amusing, I think, portion of a speech by the American Secretary of Defence.

The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.

I do believe he has elucidated perfectly the quandary that a BFSer finds her/his self in.

I actually kind of like that speech. It reminds me of an Arabian proverb (quoting from memory):

He who knows and knows that he knows is wise - follow him.
He who know and knows not that he knows is asleep - wake him.
He who knows not and knows that he knows not is a child - teach him.
He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool - shun him.

What I want is a doctor of type 1 (but I would also accept type 2 or 3). I fear the neuro assistant that I've gone to (hopefully for the last time) is type 4.

But, isn't real wisdom knowing that you know nothing...and yet, you can know how to know about that nothing.

Sounds very Buddhist - now that's a kick butt religion.
