Be-twitching ballads

Good morning,

I was feeling a lot better twitch wise the last few....twitches had died down a lot, and nerves were a lot better too. Thanks to the likes of Stevepaul, SuziQ, Bill, jodi, and always Basso.

My kids were sick last week and home from school with an upper respiratory cold like virus..they are better now. However, they spread it to me. I am thinking of taking back some of their gifts.

Last night I didn't sleep more than an hour or so, If lucky. I didn't want to keep the husband up, so I moved to the den and lit the tree up and layed there on the couch in my misery.

After everyone left for school and work this morning, I hopped into the shower in an attempt to make myself feel a little human. I ALWAYS sing in the shower....my voice however this morning was croaky and awful (not worried about new throat issues, however) As I stood there with the nice hot water cascading down my body feeling so wonderful and soothing I began to twich. My hands, twitch, cramp, my feet, my legs, butt cheeks....they were back. Now I had the blues...something to sing about. My new raspy sound lent itself to the blues so well...this song came out of my mouth...

Good morning twitches
You old gloomy sight
Good morning twitches
Thought we said goodbye last night
I turned and tossed until it seems you heve gone
But here you are with the dawn
Wish I forget you, but you’re here to stay
It seems I met you
When my love went away
Now everyday I stop I’m saying to you
Good morning twitches what’s new

Stop haunting me now
Can’t shake you nohow
Just leave me alone
I’ve got those monday blues
Straight to sunday blues
Good morning twitches
Here we go again
Good morning twitches
You’re the one
Who knows me well
Might as well get use to you hanging around
Good morning twitches
Sit down

I was no match for Miss Holiday, but I felt it! I think that Basso can use it on his CD...maybe we can sing a duet? I tried other songs before exiting the shower , like Twitch and Shout, but it didn't work as well with my voice.

Well, this is where my insanity has brought me to this morning.... I am going to take a nap. I need to rest my voice. And this is my 100th post, I notice, I never thought I'd live to be 100 ( a little Moody Blues, anyone?)

I'm terribly sorry that you are sick, I was in misery last week. You don't think that you caught it from me do you? Some kind of cyber-strain of the cold bug?

OMG Christina I would so adore the prospect of us doing a duet together of that wonderful song. We could also do the one I changed the words to from Dr. Doolittle. You and I might be the only ones who even know these songs, OMG, I know!! Hey, why not meet in Vegas  , nudge, nudge and you can help me with my Xmas special; "Under the Mistletoe with Basso." The mob is putting up some big money and so the festivities are sure to be badda boom, badda bing.

Gotta dig those butt twitches, they are so awesome when the music is on. Let's light up the strip and go supersonic!!!!!!!!!! 8)

OK-here is my attempt. And frankly, I'm a little jealous that Christina got Basso's cold and gets to sing with him in Vegas. Harumph!

I love it SuziQ: I'm sure we could fit that into the show too. We can turn that little number into a trio. After the show we will drink tall coc-ktails with incomprehensible names and then fasciculate into the wee hours. Heck, if you bring some of those drugs that you, Christina and I did in the 70's we might even see Elvis?

Merry Twitchmas back atcha SuziQ.

Suzie ,

I am laughing so hard! I love the twelve days of Twichmas!!! Sooo funny. Is that the much loved much talked about Kitty, I see a picture of ? I do hope that she is feeling better.

Basso,

I think that I caught the cyber cold during that dance you took with me! It was worth it. I think the duet in Vegas is a wonderful idea. I love the standards, so lets add a few to the set list. Maybe Betwitched, Bothered, and Bewildered would be another good duet.

I am on my way to my kids school concert...they are in the orchestra, the chamber Orchestra, the chorus, and the vocal jazz group so I have to go. I'll sit by myself and try not to give the whole town the cooties for Christmas.

Keep writing those songs to twich by...gotta love them.....

Sorry, my post came through twice, the original and the edited?? I am cyber-challenged.

I think a Vegas lounge act is where the three of us belong, with the *beep*, the drugs and Elvis. I will pack after the concert at the kids school.

Christina,
Yes that is my beloved kitten. Ain't he thumpthin?

Yes, I think we certainly need to take it to Vegas.

I'm looking forward to seeing Elvis in all his glory!

sooo....basso...aaron-where are YOUR twitchmas songs?

oh-and btw basso....my drug use was in the 80's I'm afraid. I was in grade school in the 70's. I did smoke a little weed when I was 9 (1976)

I suppose that counts, except that I didn't inhale.... :P

SuziQ, I think you have quite possibly written the ultimate "Xmas Twitching Song." It would be poor sport indeed to write one after yours, and no doubt, would be anti-climactic too. It must stand alone, unless Floater decrees otherwise, as the BFSers "Heralding forth Xmas" song.

Nine years old eh? Well, even though there is a yawning gap of seven years between our ages, we can be consoled by the fact that we both tried pot in the same year. I know, how could this have been possible without intervention from the Gods!! I have also found out that the distance between my computer and yours is exactly 1000 miles. If you multiply this by 93000 you get the exact distance to the sun. If this, and the fact that we both contracted BFS, is not the most incredible epitome of synchronicity, then I don't know what is.

Cheers,
Basso

Aww, shucks.

"I'd like to thank the Academy, my producer, my agent, all the fans ...."

That and the fact that we BOTH love ice cream! It is just too spooky to be mere coincidence! I will just bet your nose was twitching at about 11:32pm last night as well!

Christina-I have to lol everytime I see the title of this post. Somehow in my mind's eye the "ad" of "ballad's" gets obscured and I do a double take. All I see is "twitching ba--'s..." well, you get the picture.

I'm trying to see if I get any more inspiration to do some more Twitchmas Carols.

Dianna-I would really like to get together with everyone. I live near NYC. We should have a twitcher's convention in Manhattan after the holidays.

Wouldn't everyone love to go to New York? (Assuming the transit strike is over, that is....)
