I was not sure where to post my question, but I would like to reach out for opinions on this Topic.
I understand that muscle-skeleton injuries do not lead to ALS, but then why have I heard of cases where someone gets an injury, goes to get it fixed, but it does not repair and then after ruling out nerve damage, they get ALS diagnosis. One famous case is Peter Frates. I have heard of this Happening with other athletes.
Are These just pure coincidences? Or....if someone has ALS in their Body, could an injury/surgery to repair the body part, Kind of Trigger it or allow for the ALS to Show up? Like, the person's Body has a Point of weakness that Needs to repair and rebuild, but it won't rebuild.
Not sure if I am explaining this right...
