Please pray for my mother

Hi guys,

I just wanted to take a minute and ask all of you that pray to please mention my mother (her name is Opal) in your prayers. We just found out today that she has numerous spots in both of her lungs, along with pneumonia. The indication is that the spots could be cancerous, but that will need to be verified or hopefully ruled out by biopsy.

Thanks in advance for any positive thoughts sent her way.

Take care,

Gary

Most certainly.

You know, I too have been found to have spots in my lungs. Turns out to be "most likely" (you know this docs talk) nothing to worry about - just needs to be monitored to catch things early in case of... All I'm saying stay strong and positive. If not for you then for your family. Are those spots described as pulmonary nodules?

Best,
J

Thanks again guys for the positive thoughts....as for us, we are still waiting for the pneumonia to clear up so that they can do a biopsy. So no news yet.

Thanks again,

Gary

Gary,
My thoughts are certainly with you and your mom, and I would like to share a bit of a happy ending story that maybe you can relate with. My grandmother's sister went in for pneumonia, they found spots in such a place and in such a way, they were certain it was cancer. It turned out that she had lung scarring after a childhood illness, (can't remember what it was, lilke measles or rubella or something wierd). Anyway, the point to my story is that maybe it will end up like that. Lung spots can also be the result of chronic asthma, I believe. Either way, I am on my knees praying it is nothing, but looking to the silver lining that with a son as compassionate and strong as you are, you two will survive it, no matter what "it" is......
In my thoughts,
Shauna

Gary: I hope by the time this is posted you have gotten good news about your mom. Still, I will pray for your mom and all your family as well. My father had lung cancer and even though it was very early and he was a 20 year survival, it scares the daylights out of you.

This is the least I can do for you. This site has been my go-to place and has gotten me through the roughest time of my life.

God be with you
Cindy
