Bilateral Muscle Twitching w/Tongue Included
I am a 40 year old female. sudden on-set of muscle pain and weakness after a stressful year of recovery from Sever ankle injury.
Nov. 2005 symptoms began both side of my body, then twitching all over and I mean all over.
Tip of my tongue tingled too. Almost like licking a low 9 volt battery.
I have a a c 4/5 and c 5/6 disc replacement. I still have posterior ostio arthritis left at c 5/6, so I may need more surgery.
I have been to numerous neurologist, even the Mayo Clinic.
They have said it benign, MRI and EMG were normal.
My middle fingers to my thumbs move on thier own too! It's very strong, it lifts up and then to the side. My left arm weakness comes and goes, but this finger thing is on the right???
I am having a vertical MRI the end of the month. I hope it shows something. I am on 300-400 mg of Gabapentin and 100 mg of Celebrex daily.
The tongue twitching and tingling is worse. I feel I can move it well, swipe my mouth and push my cheek out. I can gargle well. but I feel like my dry cough is not a strong as usual.
Any in-put? Thank you and God bless,
Anne
