1. Did you notice "muscular" pain or fatigue prior to the twitching?
It didn't really occur to me until recently, but I have been running 20 miles a week and lifting light weight weights since Jan. 07 twice a week and always wondered why I was so sore between days. I'm not a powerlifter and I'm in great shape so it didn't make sense. Started twitching July 07.

2. Did you have an illness prior to the first event? No.

3. Had you had any recent surgery? No.

4. Had you over used the muscles in the affected area prior to the twitching? Twitching started in my tongue. Yes, I talk too much. Other than that I now twitch all over and I don't think I overuse muscles.

5. Do any of you suffer from: IBS, reflux, esophagitis, heartburn, crohns disease/celiac disease? My son was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease 4 years ago.

6. If so, do you take any medication for the above? No.

7. Females - are you on or have you been on any hormone replacement therapy or oral contraceptives for an extended period of time. No.

8. Females - do you notice if your symptoms become worse or more pronounced prior to your period/menses? Not applicable.

9. Does anyone in your immediate family suffer from an autoimmune disorder? (severe allergies/asthma, MS, Lupes, Myasthenia Gravas, Rheumatoid arthritis etc) Yes - Crohn's Disease - my son.

10. Do you suffer from allergies or any other minor autoimmune disorder? No.

1. Did you notice "muscular" pain or fatigue prior to the twitching?

Soles of my feet were sore - thought I had a running injury.

2. Did you have an illness prior to the first event?

No.

3. Had you had any recent surgery?

No.

4. Had you over used the muscles in the affected area prior to the twitching?

I think so - too much running & walking without taking days off and not stretching or cross-training.

5. Do any of you suffer from: IBS, reflux, esophagitis, heartburn, crohns disease/celiac disease?

IBS which is controlled by a high fiber diet. If I deviate from it I have problems.

6. If so, do you take any medication for the above?

No meds. Was prescribed Bentyl at one time but didn't take for long.

7. Females - are you on or have you been on any hormone replacement therapy or oral contraceptives for an extended period of time.

No - for 1-1/2 years more than 25 years ago.

8. Females - do you notice if your symptoms become worse or more pronounced prior to your period/menses?

I can't pinpoint an exact correlation though I also think I am in perimenopause, so don't know what's related to what.

9. Does anyone in your immediate family suffer from an autoimmune disorder? (severe allergies/asthma, MS, Lupes, Myasthenia Gravas, Rheumatoid arthritis etc)

No.

10. Do you suffer from allergies or any other minor autoimmune disorder?

Hay fever, reaction (stomach upset) to erythromycin antibiotic.

1. Did you notice "muscular" pain or fatigue prior to the twitching?

--Not really prior to it, no. These things do seem more prevalent now however.

2. Did you have an illness prior to the first event?

--Actually not really. I got shots for rabies about a month before and got what seemed to be the flu about a week after that, but then I was pretty healthy for awhile until the twitching started.

3. Had you had any recent surgery?

--No.

4. Had you over used the muscles in the affected area prior to the twitching?

--Not prior to when my twitching in general started, but now, yes when I exercise or use specific muscles it does seem to induce twitching.

5. Do any of you suffer from: IBS, reflux, esophagitis, heartburn, crohns disease/celiac disease?

--I haven't been diagnosed with these, but I strongly suspect that I may have some form of acid reflux, namely LPR.

6. If so, do you take any medication for the above?

--No

7. Females - are you on or have you been on any hormone replacement therapy or oral contraceptives for an extended period of time.
8. Females - do you notice if your symptoms become worse or more pronounced prior to your period/menses?

9. Does anyone in your immediate family suffer from an autoimmune disorder? (severe allergies/asthma, MS, Lupes, Myasthenia Gravas, Rheumatoid arthritis etc)

--Nope.

10. Do you suffer from allergies or any other minor autoimmune disorder?

--I guess every now and then I'll sick from allergies, but it isn't anything that I am constantly suffering from.
