fascics seen clinically but not picked up by EMG

Happy Holidays and sorry in advance if I'm beating a dead horse.

I have s1/l5 herniation and was diagnosed with peroneal neuropathy. I've had fascics in the sides of my feet (stronger on left) 24/7 since July. Neuro said BFS. Physiatrist saw them prominently during exam, but during an extensive EMG, even in the muscle where the fascics are most prevalent, he couldn't pick them up. He's done hundreds of EMGs, so he knows what he's doing. Said it's typical with BFS.

Anyone else have similar experiences? Still freaking out as my feet hurt like hell. Doc said Tarsal Tunnel is a possibility and combined w/herniation, could account for twitches.
