Hello great community!
Question regarding excess saliva:
Hey guys, so up until last week I was able to go over a YEAR with a handle on both my BFS and anxiety. I recently posted a thread last week, which was the result of my choking, seemingly out of thin air, on nothing. In hindsight and after nice answers from the knowledgeable community, it seems like I may have choked on my own excess spit/saliva.
I think this is probably correct, as I’ve been a little ‘stuffed up’ lately, but not really sick. It has now been a week, and I HAVE NOT CHOKED again. So almost safe to chalk this up to a one-time thing, unrelated to my ultimate fear, AL*, correct? YET, and again, over the past year I’ve had a firm grip on my anxiety and BFS, hench going over a year without running to this great community scared, looking for answers, reasons, and calm. Yet, Here I Am.
My new question is this: over the past week or two I’ve had a vast excess of saliva constantly hanging around. I noticed it yesterday especially, having to swallow all day long this excess of saliva that is accumulating in the back of my throat. This is all very new to me, and due to my past history and fear of AL*, and some of the things I read along the way, I’m trying my BEST NOT TO OVERREACT, yet I am somewhat scared that this could be the start of something bad. Is this normal?
