BFS Cramps

Can someone please explain what differentiates BFS cramps from cramps caused by *ls?

They are the same except there is no denervation.

Thanks. So I take it from your response that they do not feel any different with regards to severity, etc. and, therefore, the only way to distinguish one from the other is an EMG. Correct?

Cramps intensify and begin affecting other muscles, I imagine, when there is active denervation. Otherwise, they remain pretty much the same.
