I actually think bfs is way more common than most people realize. The neuro that originally dx'd me said he sees 4-5 cases a month. Of course he is a neuro-muscular specialist at a teaching institution here in Houston and receives referrals from multiple family docs. So he is not your typical back problem neuro.
