Last week I posted on here that I had twitching in one specific spot on my right calf which had be going on continuously for over two weeks, and I was very concerned about it.
Another symptom that I have been experiencing during this time, but have paid less attention to until now, is a noticeable stiffness in my right ankle and a “twisted†or “tightened†feeling in my right leg from the ankle to the knee. I also have soreness and tightness in the ball of my right foot which is really present when barefoot, and only relieved when wearing shoes. My right ankle cracks a lot when walking or taking stairs. I tried a chiropractor for the first time, and he said I had a little less flexibility and range of motion in my right ankle than with my left. About 4 weeks ago, these feelings would come and go, but now they have been persistent for about two weeks.
This combined with the twitching has me REALLY SCARED now, even though the twitching has subsided a little over the last 3 - 4 days. I’ve read where ankle stiffness, muscle tightening, and an awkward feeling in the foot and leg are described as early symptoms of ALS, and can precede actual weakness. I’m afraid I’m progressing from the twitching to early signs of weakness, and I’m getting very distraught.
As I said before, I saw a neuromuscular specialist 4.5 weeks ago, but that was before this feeling in my foot, ankle, and leg really came about.
I don’t know if this can be related to BFS the way twitching can be, but I thought I’d check to see if anyone else experienced this.
