Muscle Question?

Postby Guest on October 17th, 2002, 12:04 pm

With ALS is it through out the body and onset is only in one spot? With ALS would you still be able to pump up your muscles, flex them and make them hard.like after a workout when they are pumped up and hard after you have begun twitching?
Thank you

from everything that I have read and heard, twitching with ALS starts in one part of the body and gradually spreads. Sporadic twitches that just suddenly start are usually BFS. On medhelp.org a neuro once told a twitcher that it was nearly impossible for them to have ALS because of the sudden onset of the twitches. In ALS muscles twitch because of muscle death. Twitching without clinical muscle weakness is not ALS.
