Back from the Neuro appt of 4/23

Postby Carolmarie on April 24th, 2003, 8:30 am

Well, no real bad news as of yet. The doctor said the swallowing difficulty sounds like esophageal spasms. He said if it were ALS, it would come and stay, not come and go. As for the "wasting" around my left collarbone, he is sending me to a neuro-muscular specialist for that. I am semi-relieved so keep burning up the prayer line for good news! My neuro's office just now called me and my appt with the neuro-muscular is May 7th @ 9:15. Thanks everyone for all your support. What a great group of people! Carol.

Carolmarie: Great news about the throat spasms (as I suspected it would be). I'll be thinking of you. I'll wager that the next appointment will be nothing serious either. --Graig

Hey Carolemarie...

That is great news. I am still praying for you! I agree with Graig though...I bet it is nothing serious. I bet it is all the stress you have been under since your husbands nervous breakdown. You are a real champion to jump in and take over support of the family, as well as having to deal with him...I really admire you. But that kind of stress has got to be taking a huge toll on you! I don;t know that I am strong enough to cope under those conditions!
Peace, Jen
