That "Fluttering" Feeling

Postby Carolmarie on March 13th, 2003, 11:55 am

Has anyone had a fluttering feeling across the small of his/her back? I get it frequently after a hot shower. It's a bizarre feeling that almost feels like someone lightly brushing my skin with a feather duster.

Another bizarre sensation...sometimes I feel as though there is a string between my left big toe and second toe. Of course, there is nothing there.

Tip for anyone having trouble sleeping. My doc gave me 25 mg. of Elavil (amitriptyline, antidepressant) to take at bedtime. No real side effects (a little thirst, that's all for me) and it isn't addictive like the anti-anxiety meds and you don't build up a tolerance to it. I highly recommend it.

CarolMarie,

I sometimes get a feeling I'd describe as "fluttery" around my eyes. I've also had a "crawling sensation" in various places. Seems like there are a lot of strange sensations associated with BFS.
