Went to a neurologist I know who also is specialized on EMGs.
I showed her the constant twitch and she said that it was very visible.
She said her did not think the hotspot was caused by fasciculations but she would poke it with a needle and check just to be sure.
After she inserted the needle, she told me to steak out my tongue and after this she said there where no fasciculation potentials on EMG.
I asked her to poke again on the twitching site and she did again (knowing I was very anxious). She poked again, told me to stick my tongue again, and repeated, there is no fasciculation potential here.
She wrote on the report that was electrical silent at rest with full interference pattern and normal motor units on the same spot where my tongue is flicking NON STOP 2 times per second.
The flicking is constant... it does not matter if my tongue is at rest on the bottom of my mouth of it is being sticked out... is simply does not stop... and it is that way for 2 days already.
Is it possible for a muscle to twitch with electrical silence on EMG?
