Link between upper back discomfort and twitching?

Alright.... just had my fourth emg at nearly 10 months. Showed mild ulnar neuropathy, but again no needle test abonormalities (not even a fasciculation). Getting referred to a neurosurgeon for the elbow but the specialist who did my EMG said No ALS and that i have BFS and that it's unrelated to the neuropathy since i have the BFS all over (feet 24/7, triceps for the first 6 months), thighs, shoulders, a few pops in the chest, etc.). Im really running out of options... I used to be pretty fit, but now my arms and legs feel like mush and i feel as though they're shrinking. What other things can cause slow atrophy and bodywide fascics. my upper back is beginning to hurt more near the spine and also has numbness. This has slowly progressed for two years... but i had it looked at when it started and the ortho said it wasn't a big deal so ignored it. Anyone ever hear mid-to-upper back (right below the shoulders along the spine on both sides) issues causing limb atrophy or fascics??

You sound like me. A combination of things can cause this. BFS, small fiber neuropathy, nerve impingement, thyroid and blood sugar issues, EBV, damage from the herpesvirus family, etc. MND is relatively rare and you're more likely to have other issues causing this. I'd tell you to get an EMG but I've not had one myself lol. Be well...I'm here if you need to chat. God Bless
