Hi there,

I wrote in another post about my alternative approaches for healing (it workes partly - no longer total lack of energy)

...Today I went to a myoreflex therapist.
I told her my story and she examined me. My muscle tone is so high everywhere, that this is the reason, why my joints of hands have changed shape and hurt, she told me. They got flat and expanded at one side - symmetrical at both hands. Also the dents in my lower arms would be due to high muscle tone (somehow crumpled tissue).

The strange feeling in my feet since a few weeks are also from high muscle tone. It comes and goes. But I never had a day without it for minimum one hour since then.
tight muscles also in my back and in my neck, so that my atlas was positioned in a wrong way on my spine.

She thinks this can all be from my former whiplash injury two and a half years ago...Is this realistic? She says, that the nerve conduction speed could be reduced by this muscle problems....I have the fear that it is the other way around...that high muscle tone derives from damaged nerves...

What is your opinion?
Can I have a high muscle tone in the whole body from a nerval damage and still have normal reflexes? Can high muscle tone be a first sign of a serious desease like mnd? Ms? (though MS is excluded)?

ooops you had whiplash trauma?

yes it really explains alot. it moves the vertebrae and compresses nerve roots and creates wrong position of the neck muscles so it really could create problems with the upper limbs, headaches, vision troubles etc. am not sure if it directly causes anything to lower limbs but because the whole body is a kinematic system - probably it could be.

Yes, Yuliasir, I had a car accident 2,5 years ago. But the symptoms (hurting and twitching pinkies) started already a few weeks before. That was after a wrong treatment of an ostheopath of my head, which ended up in the ER...I can imagine the whiplash inj did nothing good, too...;-(

Now I have this semi-cramping feeling in hands and feet. I haven't had this this strong before...I started on autogenic training today. Hoping it will slow down....This therapist she is really good, treating also whiplash injuries..

Since yesterday I am getting awake in the night due to whole body cramps. It is bodywide and a feeling as if my muscles around my torso are constricting me. And it goes down to my feet....I am told quite often by physiotherapists but that my torso is very tight, but now it feels awful...I tried to do some meditation when that happened to get some release but no chance...
