I just realized I can barely whistle anymore. Something is definitely wrong. Has anyone else experienced this? This is after new tongue/swallowing issues the last few weeks.

Me too. Do not hink it is a big deal. Whistling requires certain training, if you did not whitstle for years, it is expected.

Seems like you are really struggling LKP, I hope you can get some answers and some relief soon. Are you on any anxiety or depression meds to try and help you control your thoughts? We are really hard on ourselves when we are constantly checking ourselves for this and that and one small symptom leads to other and a lot of it is our minds getting the best of us. Anxiety is an evil thing that I hadnt experienced to this extent until 4 months ago, and man is it hard to keep away from, but we must try our best and try to focus on other things. It sure isn't easy though.

I'm on meds but the dr just increased them and so far I don't feel any relief. I have Xanax too but I try not to take it too much. My emg was abnormal and I can't accept that the issues have been blamed on my back bc it just doesn't fit. I don't have the symptoms of pinched nerves or anything like that. I go back to my neuro Thursday and I actually have an appt at an *** clinic in late December. I wished for a clean emg and I didn't get one. Far from it.

:(

After reading this I am literally sitting here thinking "I want to try whistling to see if I can VERY BAD" but also "Don't do it, what if you find out you can't like before?" and "stop self testing" and "if I just whistle out if nowhere, my husband is going to think I'm nuts, again" ....literally experiencing the little angel and red devil on each shoulder.

Haven't tried yet.....arrrrg! So tempting, so hard!!

I can do it, but it takes a lot more work than before, it's like tongue is tired, stiff...strange.

I seem to be ok with it now. Just something else I panicked over.
