Guys and gals,

I have been having pretty constant fascs. in my inner elbow near my funny bone. I recently switched to a paleo diet and the first day of my paleo diet I fasted for 24 hours... WHICH LET TO ABSOLUTELY NO TWITCHING!!!! For a whole 24 hours I didn't twitch. I would even try to think about twitching and make myself twitch and I couldn't do it. Well anyways... I ate some bread last night and now my inner elbow is going crazy... I don't understand. After lifting weights I now have aches in my rotator cuff, inner elbow, wrist, and thumb plus the twitching in my inner elbow. I also have a pretty bad case of IBS and a nicotine addiction to go along with my twitching. I get random twitches all over my body but the ones in my elbow are different. Can anyone relate? I'm 24 years old, and in pretty good shape. Are we all just over analyzing our bodies. Is this all anxiety related? Someone help please... I want to get better.

If fasting decreases your twitching take a look at a ketogenic diet which comes close but is of course a little mire feasible
on the long run. I am on a rather strict paleo diet as well but I already was more or less paleo when all of this started. I just got a lot more disciplined, especially regarding milk and (hidden) sugar. It got a lot better over the last months and it never really got extreme in the first place.

Jocruz,

You sound like your BFS is extremely similar to mine. Not everyone seems to benefit so incredibly from the paleo diet, but I did as well. This is good news indeed. In my case I was able to 100% reverse the condition and return to normal once I did the right things. I too had IBS prior to BFS and that is gone now too. Look into a condition called Leaky Gut Syndrome. A diet change and supplements will help you reverse it. An acupuncture based technique can later be used to retrain the immune responses that are triggered by the foods you recently learned to react to. Most important of all, I'd recommend working on mental discipline and relaxation techniques to get your mind in a better place. These disorders don't manifest without some mental thought pattern cycles of stress and worry.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I think I have some ular/median/carpal nerve issues in my right arm as well. I'm starting to think this is a type of autoimmune diseaseand that it is fixable. I remember when this all started i had some type of virus followed by a sinus infection and twitching ever since. IBS Followed the twitches.
