A question before google:
Today I've experienced a new sensation which is alarming me:
The outside of my hand (just below little finger) , the palm of hand and fingers....they have been having tingles like pins and needles. Also feels like crawling under my skin. It's really frustrating me!!
This, along with other issues that I won't bore u with recapping.....scares me!

Are these sensations common with others?
I get them in lip a little!

What I'm prob asking.....is this an als symptom?

Very common. This symptom started about 6 months in for me and it comes and goes. I hadn't experienced the parathesia for about a month and then yesterday it was back with a vengeance. I had spots of tingling/crawling on my right calf, left quad, and the back of my head all day long. It seems to be gone again this morning.

The good news is that these sensory symptoms are not a feature of ALS and actually help point away from anything nasty.

As i am writing this the back of my wrist is burning - a sensory thing as well. Like mentioned above I actually find comfort in this because it points away from ALS (no sensory symptoms as I read on these forums many times).

And the characteristic of wax and wane points away from MS too. My neuro told me that I would have the feeling for days or weeks on the same spot. Not migrating or come and go.

Thanks

This whole twitching was first noticed after a feeling if having a wet patch on my leg!
Crazy!
Also getting the shakes, for example, when I hold my leg a certain way it goes crazy shaking up and down (whole leg.)
Like spasming I guess...an internal shake which causes whole limb to go crazy.
Is this usually als symptom?

Nope Sadface,
wet patch is a paresthesia, very common in our syndrome, and a whole limb shaking in a certain position may be most probably a pseudoclonus, also very common symptom in our case.

Thanks for replying.
It's just worrying when strange things happen all over: mild cramp, tremors, shaking, twitches, feeling of soar muscles in places (currently thumb pads.)
Worries me x

I have got this all - muscle pains, cramps, sudden tremors in hand and other muscles etc. all that.
within 1 year it decreased till the background noise and still stays on that level for extra two eyars now, totally 3 years this October. I also found that crmaps, especially in the leg, are most ptobably of circulatory origin (this happens not only to sitting lazy persons like me, but also to a very fit people becasue often bug bulk musculature has bad blood supply).
