twichting increases after sports?

Postby simon_ger on July 23rd, 2014, 4:59 am

Hi there,

it`s me, Simon from Germany.

Today I was outside with my bike and wanted to do some cardio.
Havent done s.t. like jogging, cyclyng or s.t. else for at least 12months. Maybe once or twice a months, but notn serious or continual.
So I started and felt very soon, very out of breath
After I was back home and took a shower, I realised, that my twiching in the calves and feet had increased.

Now I´m afraid, that this may be nothn be related to BFS?

To remember: I started twiching more then 12months ago, had 4 clean EMG (needles in calves, hand...) and 5visits to the medic.
I twitch all over: back, hands, chest, tri-/bicep, legs, feet, shoulders...
Do feel, like getting weaker :(

Today is a very bad day...

It does not really matter what physical activity you do. Any exercise incease fasciculations, that is a known fact stated in most textbooks. Dont worry.

Dear Simon,

My twiching started almost exactly one year ago. Though my twitchig went almost down (this does not apply to other weird symptoms), after sports ore long walk in the summer heat with shoes on, it starts again. Always. This is what I experience constantly and it reminds me, that it doesn't went awayy completely...And what you tell about perceived weakness...This happened to me very often during the last year. But it always vanished. Came and go...Don't worry about it.

Sports used to make mine go crazy but it has all calmed down now.

My cramping and twitching is worse after excersie, but I keep it up because it is important to me and makes me feel better.
I have started being a bit more sensible about my running now though and always warm up and down and take electrolyte replacement. Not sure it makes any difference but it makes me feel like I am doing something.
