Theory: General Anesthesia contributes to or enhances BFS?

Postby wxrock on September 25th, 2007, 7:48 am

I've had minor, infrequent muscle twitching for several years. However, after having surgery this summer--two hours under general anesthesia--I developed full body, alarmingly frequent twitching; and it's driving me crazy!

Anyway, is it just coincidence that the twitching amplified after my surgery? Or, perhaps the profound effects of GA on the nervous system somehow has triggered this syndrome?

Has anyone here had a similar experience. I'm curious about this.
