As someone who easily twitches more than 60 times per day (/ more than 4 times per waking hour), I can't believe that someone who twitches less than 20 times a day would be concerned enough about their condition to look it up online. I think that at it's worst, I was probably twithing once every 10 seconds or so that's what, around 5400 times per day?

Well, when I first started twitching...I would have been in the 41-60 range, but now I'd say more in the 1-20 per day. I guess thats a big improvement over the past year! :) I still read the posts just to see what people are saying and if anybody else is experiencing some of the "other" strange symptoms that go along with the twitching.

Good grief. Only 60 times per day. I twitch that much now and I feel like I am done twitching. At my worst I twitched about 1 time every 3 seconds. That lasted for atleast two months. So you can imagine my relief to get down to about 60/day. I agree -- I cannot believe anyone is actually worried if that is all they twitch. My two cents.

60 times a day would be luxury! There are times when I never have more than a few seconds between twitches. Anyone else?

yeah, actually, i think it was a big underestimate of mine to say that i was at one every 10 seconds at my worst -- there were times when it felt like a second didn't go by with a twitch somewhere in my body. it's not bad now, though. somewhere between 10-100 per hour ;)

On a good days (which I have most f the time) I would say less than 20 to maybe 40. On a bad day I would say 60- maybe 80. When I was at my worst in the beginning(a year ago), I would say thousands of times a day, horrible feeling. I'll keep my good days thank you!

I am not kidding on this. My right calf twitches 2-3 times PER SECOND and it is ALL DAY LONG. Naturally, I am freaked out about this and very anxious to have my second EMG in about two weeks.
Also, the other more sporadic twitches occur maybe one or two times in a half hour so I guess that's at least 24 for the other twitches.

chances are good that it wont ever stop, BUT it doesnt have to bother you, it wont hurt you at all.

after I started twitching I found out my dad has also had calf twitches since he got back from Vietnam. He doesnt let it bother him though, after that long he knows its nothing serious so he doesnt let it bother him.

I was scared for a long time but now after almost 2 years while its annoying I dont fear the twitches anymore.

My sister told me a few weeks ago that my dad had terrible calf twitches in his 40's. He has Alzheimer's now so he had no idea what I was talking about when I asked him. Someone sent me an article (I didn't save it) that said research is showing this twitching stuff runs in families. The real drag is so does Alzheimer's though I know there is no connection to BFS so I got no new info. Plus I have an uncle who dies of ALS. Bad genes I guess.
