tommorow will be 1 year since I first went to a neurologist. I been having to go every 3 months since Im on neurontin, but tommorow will mark 1 year with no weakness or worse symptoms. Ive been twitching, and strange sensations for about a year and 3 or 4 months, but since I was sure I had ALS and was going to die, I did not go to a neurologist right away but waited a few months.

I have a neurologist thats a friend of mine who was the one that made me go see a neurologist and he said with no weakness or worse symptoms after a year, or he said even after 6 months you can be 99% sure its not ALS or MS.

coincidentally he also has BFS but he doesnt take any medicine because he can deal with it, where as at the time I couldnt deal with it so I chose to go on neuronitn, which for the most part works really good for me.

Its kinda weird too that if you are occupied mentally you dont hardly notice any symptoms. The other night my leg was twitching a long, then I got in the tail end of a vehicle chase started by another deputy, and during that I dont ever remember thinking hey my leg is twitching. BUT afterwards when I was waiting by the car for a tow truck I remember noticing that geeesh my leg was twitching again.

Good Luck

well I finally got around to asking him if the EMG and MRI and blood tests that he had done last year were normal or not. I assumed they were normal because he never said anything about them afterwards. But he said yes they were normal, and did the reflex and strengh tests today and said they are all good.

go back in a month because he wants me to stop taking the klonopin and just take the neurontin because the neurontin at least for me works better than anything else.
