Help! verge of a breakdown.

Postby Arkansan on March 6th, 2016, 12:48 am

I have been back lately with a flare up, of course this has all been detailed in my recent posts. The last two days have been somewhat better though, but that all changed.

While I was at work I started having twitches on my right hand between my thumb and forefinger on the back (top) of my hand. I had the normal big twitches for a while. Then I started noticing little tiny fine twitches in that spot that I could see but not feel and they just keep going! This has been going on 3 or 4 hours now! There for a while I could even set that area off by touching it!

Has anyone else had this? I'm terrified it's a sign of something worse. I don't know what to do. It's stopped for maybe 10 or so minutes here and there but seems to be pretty constant.

So you've had the same thing I was describing as well?

Absolutley. Often, although not in a few months now.

Well I'm doing better I guess. My big issue now is that my legs feel kinda unsteady underneath me particularly at the knees. But I can still run and stuff, and I can practice kicks against the heavy bag but they feel off somehow though that maybe lack of practice.

Anyone else go through phases where your legs just feel "off" somehow like you are a little unsteady and they are sort off kilter? I also just have had some random soreness in the muscles of the large part of the leg. Surely other bfsers have had this?

Yep. We've had it all.

This is a muscle/nerve disorder that is almost assuredly autoimmune in nature. Not something sinister like you're fearing.

The real kicker is to try and figure out what your triggers are, and avoid them. Something is causing this. Something you're doing. Or have done for years. Maybe its running on its own now as well, after something broke. But that really is all this is.

I would look heavily into your most symptomatic times of the day. Do they correlate at all with meals? Do symptoms die down hours and hours after eating? Is it worse in the mornings? Evenings? What do you do *right* before symptoms flare up? Start paying attention. Determine your triggers. And begin avoiding those triggers.

As for the rest - relax if you can. This is nothing sinister.
