Carbohydrates Beneficial?

Postby misterjuanperalta on August 8th, 2015, 7:52 am

Hi,

First, let's try to make this post relevant to BFS. Now, a member from another forum opines ... This study supports the view that sugar is protective and some of the benefits these people saw was likely due to the increased conversion of T4 into T3. The high calorie diet also helped patients gain weight, which was also associated with increased survival pointing to a recent study that causes furor in the news with its findings that slightly obese people have the highest metabolism, are most resistant to infection, and have the longest average lifespan.

"...A high-carbohydrate, high-calorie diet could delay the progression of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neuron disease or Lou Gehrig’s disease, according to a phase 2 study published in The Lancet."

Any thoughts? How many of you have noticed more twitching with less carbohydrate(s) consumption?
