... and if you've read the paper you will know that the way the figure of 5 years is derived is something that even a simpleton like me (non-medical research scientist) knows is absurd. I won't go into the detail, it's all been done before, but if you are worrying about that then you also need to be worrying about being struck by a meteor (never mind the 1 in 3 chance of getting cancer etc.).

Hello Will,

I just wanted to say that you should hang in there. I've had this for over 2 years now and frequently get more than one twitch in the same muscle at the same time. I have twitched all over, I am not going to list because it is frankly boring. I am about to run my fastest (hopefully) half marathon in a few weeks. Don't read about twitching, it really will get you nowhere. Get out. Get active. And be thankfull ti have a minor irritation rather than a serious disease.

all the very best

Hello Will.

I know how you feel completely, been and done all the googling and read the scary things and got myself into a state.

I have a right thigh twitch, it's on the outside about 2 inches wide. It twitched constantly from the end of October for 6 weeks, I didn't even have body wide ones. It then stopped for 4 weeks and then came back and has been back intermittently for 4 weeks, I get it everyday still and it messes with my head, it's going into the 4 month now of twitchy, more recently my left thigh was having pops in the exact same place. But these are hit and run ones throughout the day.

I understand your fear and anxiety as do lots of others, you have to keep trying to think rationally and zone it out , I just keep telling myself I can walk and talk so I'm not going to worry.

Best wishes.
