fasciculations

Postby KERRI on June 13th, 2003, 9:55 am

I am just wondering what you guys think, I had the emg back in February which showed one fasciculation in one muscle in my thigh, the fasciculations was occasional and only came out twice in the five times my doctor went back to the muscle, is this considered a normal twitch like we all get or does it go along with BFS, the twitch has never gone back to that muscle. The neurologist called that emg normal as well as my right leg emg. The neurologist that I work with says that it is crazy to pay any attention to one fasciculation, especially during emg when there are no other findings, sometimes the needles aggrivate the muscle spurring a fasciculation. He thinks that he should repeat that emg seeing as he did not perform that one, he has performed one on my left arm and my tongue, it was another neuro who did my legs. I think I will let him repeat it and if no fascic is there what does that mean.
