PUTTING BFS BEHIND ME

Postby KERRI on May 16th, 2003, 9:42 am

When is it a good time to stop worrying about ALS and BFS. I am trying to get past all this so after a year and 4 emgs can this be it, should I have more emgs? Should I have a muscle biopsy?

I agree with fastpage. You should rest assured that you are OK. You have had 4 EMG's (all of which I assume have been normal), time is in your favor (so are your age and sex), and I would imagine you have had multiple neuro exams that have came out fine as well. I would recommend against a muscle biopsy and additional EMG's, as they both seem extremely unnecessary.

Also, I know you have been experiencing problems with your muscles shaking, tightness in your legs and brisk reflexes - I also have all the above and know of many others on this board who are in the same boat. You are OK - try and relax...
