Has anyone ever taken or been prescribed this by a doctor?

I was skimming through my "Physician's Assistant's Drug Handbook" and stumbled upon this under "muscle fasciculations" in the index.

The actual name is Dantrolene Sodium and "Dantrium" is the pharmacuetical name (I guess).

What's weird is that it says it is for upper motor neuron disorders (as opposed to lower in fascics) and helps with muscle spasms and such.

It is a muscle relaxant it says as well, and it says it reduces "succinylcholine-induced fasciculations and postoperative muscle pain".

I read about succinylcholine chloride and it seems to be a skeletal muscle relaxer and lessens muscle contractions in seizures. It is classified as a neuromuscular blocker.

So they both are muscle relaxers, where one causes twitches (by blocking neuromuscular junctions I presume) and one relieves them...

Maybe someone with more knowledge can share how some of us may have some succinylcholine or something in our systems?
