Q: Why take meds?

Postby Ish on January 29th, 2005, 11:11 am

Sorry if that sounds provocative, I don't mean it to be. I'm reading a lot of the meds discussions and I'm wondering...

1) is the principal objective to reduce the discomfort caused by the sensation of twitching?

2) or can meds also help with soreness?

3) ...with exercise intolerance?

4) ...with fatigue?

I ask because for me, given my particular constellation of symptoms and the varying effects they have on my life, it is only fatigue reduction that might motivate me to risk the various side effects.

Ish.

If the meds reduce the muscular activity, then all symptoms should improve.

At least this works for me and after 9 years of pain/discomfort the idea of being a martyr has become less appealing. “Dam that meat pie”
