hello Folks,

Wanted to get you advice, finally had by neuro appointment and he did a group of tests: had me follow his hand with my eyes, clench my teeth, stick out my tough, pushed down on both my legs and shoulders, checked reflexes, and had me walk back and forth. Told me all was good and he does not think I have any neuro disease. Can neuro's quickly detect if it is something is nerurologic by doing these tests?

Yes , trust your neurologist they are specialists it's their job to find things wrong with you.

I seen one & she did all the same tests with me .
Then I had a EMG & guess what .....the other neurologist said the same .

Worrying is natural , read the sticky posts on the site , they are great ang offer good advice .

Surely yes because what you did are basic test for reflexes and muscle ability. Usually neurological deficites are well detectable by that sort of testing - how person can keep the tongue, if he or she has specific spasms after certain activity (like clench the teeth), etc. Those test were elaborated by the last tow hundred years of well documented medical experience and scientific approach, so they are really very helpful in order to understand if person has any basic impairment. They were useful even before Xray and MRI because allowed to detect condition of brain and spine without those methods. So fi the physical test performed by qualified doctor said you are ok, then trust it.
