pain survey after fibro dx

Postby german on March 31st, 2012, 3:51 pm

I was diagnosed with fibro which doesn't mean much to me as I believe it is all the same stuff. This prompted me to ask some questions. Thanks for any replies.

do you have pain?

Do you have twitching?

Do you have tremors?

Do you have joint pain ( hips, legs, knuckles, hands, etc...)?

Do you have back pain ( lower upper)?

Does your back hurt when waking up in the morning?

Do you have butt tightness or pain?

Do you have facial tightness, stiffness pain( cheeks or above the jaw)?

Do you have jaw pain & stiffness( tmj type stuff)

Do you have episodes of anxiety feelings come on without an anxious situation ( your body doing the anxiety rev up)?

Do you get ankle pain?

Do you get foot pain?

Do you get feelings of weakness in 1 leg or both?

Do you get a charged or irritated nerve feeling in extremity or extremities ( leg, arm, or all)

Do you get pain, twitching and stiffness in arches or feet? does it affect your toes?

Does cold weather make your hands or feet get tight?

Do you get tingling, numbness or asleep feeling in extremities hands?

Thanks again for feedback

Yes to everything, exactly what my doc told me, it is well related with fibro and is fibro patients complain about it all the time. He said usually the twitching and tremors are NOT the maor complaint because the pain and fatigue is worse, the therapy I did was for people with Fibro/CFS and Hyperventilation (which most people with Fibro suffer from, especially the ones with major neuro complaints), and it helped. But thequestion is..what is he now doing with U? Treatment I mean?

Do you have back pain ( lower upper)?
yes, especially in the evenings or after overdoing it

Does your back hurt when waking up in the morning?
no, when I'm laying down is the only time I'm pain free.

Do you have butt tightness or pain?
Deep burning pain in muscles and in bones of pelvis and hips.

Do you have facial tightness, stiffness pain( cheeks or above the jaw)?
Especially in the jaw area

Do you have jaw pain & stiffness( tmj type stuff)
Woke up this morning with an awful headache from clenching my teeth all night. Hurts like a migraine but stretches down my neck and into shoulders

Do you have episodes of anxiety feelings come on without an anxious situation ( your body doing the anxiety rev up)?
ALL THE TIME! I can feel the adrenaline dumping into my system for no reason. I have what I call "rolling" panic attacks, constant up and downs of anxious thoughts and feelings.

Do you get ankle pain?
yes, and constant popping

Do you get foot pain?
yes

Do you get feelings of weakness in 1 leg or both?
not weakness so much as they feel heavy

Do you get a charged or irritated nerve feeling in extremity or extremities ( leg, arm, or all)
all, sharp, stabbing pains

Do you get pain, twitching and stiffness in arches or feet? does it affect your toes?
Pain in the arches, but twitching in foot has always been on top. The pain affects my toes.

Does cold weather make your hands or feet get tight?
Makes my whole body tight.

Do you get tingling, numbness or asleep feeling in extremities hands?
Constant tingling in feet, when I have anxiety attacks my hands go numb.

I have many of these symptoms. Can I ask how your doc arrived at the diagnosis? I have asked my neuro about fibro and they brush it off. I get the leg perceived weakness that comes and goes. I guess it doesn't matter what the label is just wondering what it was about your case that led to the dx.

They test your trigger points and compare to control points. I was positive for them, but for a final diagnosis of Fibro they count in the time you are suffering from this and other symptoms and the severity. After half a year or so docs here do not give a final dx of Fibro, but if all tis is positive they say you might be developing one. A lot of that stuff can still be post-viral-syndrome or something else.
I thought my condition was bad, but when I got thereI saw all those people walking on canes and "granny racers" (dunno what they are called in english), I realized that mine was still a mild case.
