Ear twitch

Postby Lilly111 on February 11th, 2012, 4:29 am

I am getting a continuous ear twitch. Has anyone had this? I can't seem to find any posts when I search for the word ear. I am worried of course, otherwise I wouldn't be emailing you guys at 4:30 EST. Because the twitch is on a side in which i have had difficulty swallowing and I have seen twitches on my tongue, I am scared. I would appreciate any thoughts. If you've had a similar symptom, especially if it is continuous.
Best,
Donna

Good morning Donna, at least it was 4:30AM on a Saturday, not a Monday :) It seems to work if you put "ear twitch" in quotes as a phrase:

http://nextination.com/aboutbfs/forums/search.php?keywords=%22ear+twitch%22&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

Surely, without even looking I would tell you that there is no muscle in the body that is off limits to BFS, and no muscle that has any more ominous meaning than any other muscle. I see in the search that veteran twitcher Mark S, who is a great guy and twitching a little longer than me, has had one "for months on end." So, you are in good company. :) Have a great weekend.

I used to get these all the time!!! Several times a day, especially after yawning.

Weirdly enough - these have disappeared for the past several months. Really odd.

They're so common - don't worry about them.

yes, I have had them, didn't know what they were at first. I get them occasionally now, they don't bother me, but I'm glad when they stop!

Hi lily...

Hopefully you have been reassured by the brilliant members above... but just to add, this was one of the first twitches i noticed, about 3 or 4 months ago and it is the most persistent one i have.

Have a look at some of my earlier posts.

Best wishes.

Dave.
