Violent ones on the upper arms?

Postby TwitchyDoc on January 1st, 2012, 4:42 am

Hi,
have anyone encountered the strong twitches on upper arms? They are like really big thumpers, causing whole upper arm to shake and its pretty felt.

BTW, today its exactly 4,5 years for me..and still getting some new stuff :)

Very much so. My entire left bicep twitched for days once. I am not talking about the kind of little twitches all over bicep, I mean the whole darn thing twitched as one.

Same here. I read some of your old posts and seem to twitch almost exactly like you do. For many years (about 6), too. My provocable tongue-twitching and the Walton-studies get to me lately, though. I feel a significant progression in my symptoms.

Actually, it all started for me with tongue- and eyelid-twitches six years ago. I've also got some pretty deep teeth-marks on one side of my tongue, but I've had them for many years now. For me, it's mostly the tip of the tongue. My neuro says that I should have "bag of worm"-like twitches in the bulk of the tongue if it were truly fibrillations.

I have a flicker-like twitch about every second on the right side of the tip of my tongue. It's been going nonstop for 6 month, then went away for 6 weeks, and is now back :-(.

Your neuro is right, with tongue fibrillations the whole surface of tongue or its half is shaking in vermicular movement. I get twitches on the sides and rarely in the middle of tongue. Never lasted more than few seconds.

Common.
I have recently experienced something probably more odd, at the least for me: abdominal (diaphragm?) twitches triggered by swollowing.
Fasciculating from the 25/03/2007 (as accurately as I can recall!...)

I do. It comes and goes. It's not the eardrum though. It's a tiny muscle (actually the smallest muscle in your entire body) that is twitching.

TwtichyDoc,

I get thumpers in my upper arms/shoulders daily. Just as you described, violent and very noticeable visually. I once had a nurse give me a flu shot, right as she was injecting me that same spot twitched and it freaked her out! :D
